At first, Meladerm may seem like just another skin lightening product in the market. However, what makes it unique is the fact that honest, extensive research led to its formulation and creation. The manufacturers spent four years to create a unique and effective formula that was based on natural ingredients. Meladerm is also developed with the latest in skin lightening and skincare technologies, allowing it to improve the overall complexion and lighten freckles, sun spots, liver spots, age spots, acne marks, birth marks, melasma, and other types of skin discolorations.

Safe, all-natural ingredients

Meladerm DOES NOT contain any harmful substances and ingredients such as hydroquinone, steroids and mercury, which may cause some side effects after long term and consistent use. Instead, the product uses completely safe and effective active Meladerm ingredients such as Alpha Arbutin, Niacinamide, Mulberry, Bearberry, Locorice, and Lemon Juice Extracts, Embilica Powder, Kojic Acid and Lactic Acid. These substances contain the same lightening properties that hydroquinoine has, minus the side effects.

Alpha Arbutin is a pure water soluble biosynthetic ingredient that has been proven to restrict the activity of the enzyme tyrosinase, which is responsible for catalyzing tyrosine into melanin (the substance responsible for skin color). Niacinamide or Vitamin B3, on the other hand, restricts the transfer of melanosomes to keratinocytes (from melanocytes), therefore restricting skin pigmentation. In addition, Niacinamide has been proven to reduce acne.

Bearberry extract or Beta Arbutin also functions in a similar way like its Alpha counterpart, A-Arbutin, which is more expensive to make. Tyrosinase activation is also inhibited by licorice extract while offering anti-inflammatory benefits. To further maximize the skin lightening capabilities of the ingredients, Lemon Juice and mulberry extracts are included in small amounts.

Kojic acid is another natural ingredient that is incorporated as an alternative to hydroquinone. This acid is derived from rice malt fermentation during the production of sake or Japanese rice wine. It is commonly used in Asian food and is now proven effective in reducing melanin production as well as in treating age spots.

Kojic Acid is an agent that is included in Asian diets but it is also effective in preventing your body from producing more melanin. Thanks to vivo and in vitro researches, Kojic Acid is also realized as an effective agent for reducing age spots. Among the alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) ingredients of Meladerm is lactic acid, and together with glycolic acid, it helps in the penetration of the active ingredients into the skin. Other significant Meladerm ingredients include Tego Cosmo C, Gigawhite, and Vitamin C.
